Some landmarks that I recommend stopping at in Point Pleasant, WV are the Mothman statue and the Silver Bridge Memorial and Mural. I got to get a closer look at the mural than I did at the Mothman Festival and what I love about it is that it is made to appear as a portal of sorts, which you'll see more of in the video I'll be posting soon. The Silver Bridge Collapse occurred in December of 1967, with Mothman sightings occurring from November of 1966.   🖤☕️🦇Next up from my Point Pleasant/Mothman adventures! Almost right next to the Mothman Museum is this amazing coffee shop The Coffee Grinder. The atmosphere is very charming, has a bit of Mothman flair, and the food and coffee is delicious. It did rain a bit so this was a great place for coming in out of the rain (with my Latte with almond milk and I think I also got a sugar free vanilla flavoring in it).   Of course I had to kick things off with the Mothman Musuem, which does not disappoint! Everything from props from the film Mothman Prophecies, to a large collection of news articles covering the various sightings and the tragic Silver Bridge collapse. So much information in there, including items owned by some reporters on the events surrounding the mothman AND remnants from the Mothman Diner that was in business for many years up until the owner's death. I would say the diner section was by far my favorite part. It even had a pay phone in it so I could pretend that I was in the Black Phone movies (see pics in posts section!)😁 They also have a really cool gift shop and this is my haul!
